Blackpool school term dates

Blackpool is one of two places in the UK where we can't give you a council calendar, because there isn't one. Blackpool Council doesn't set borough-wide term dates: every school in Blackpool sets its own term dates and inset days, and the council's own advice is to check with your child's school before arranging holidays or childcare.

How to find your school's dates

Your school's website is the authority, usually under "term dates" or "parents". The council keeps a list of Blackpool schools with contacts and a core school dates page explaining the arrangement. In practice many Blackpool schools stay close to the dates used across Lancashire, but "close" is not "the same", and half terms are where they drift.
