Council notes for 2026/27:
  • The calendar is the Academic Calendar for Community Schools 2026/27, approved by the Council's Executive on 2 June 2025.
  • These term dates have been agreed for community schools only. The governing bodies of voluntary aided schools, foundation schools, free schools and academies are responsible for setting their term dates.
  • Community schools will all have scheduled training days in addition to those identified on the calendar, so check the dates with your child's school.
  • Christmas holidays run Monday 21 December 2026 to Friday 1 January 2027. Easter holidays run Friday 26 March to Friday 9 April 2027, with Good Friday on 26 March and Easter Monday on 29 March 2027.
  • Monday 31 May 2027 is a bank holiday; the calendar shades Tuesday 1 June to Friday 4 June 2027 as school holidays for the summer half term.
