  • The council publishes six terms: Term 1, 1 September to 23 October 2026, 39 days. Term 2, 2 November to 18 December 2026, 35 days. Term 3, 4 January to 12 February 2027, 30 days. Term 4, 22 February to 25 March 2027, 24 days. Term 5, 12 April to 28 May 2027, 34 days. Term 6, 7 June to 21 July 2027, 33 days. Total 195.
  • An additional 5 days are available for professional training (inset days). These additional closures are set by the Headteacher and Governors of individual schools.
  • Academy Trusts, Voluntary Aided and Foundation schools can set their own term dates which may be different to those published by South Gloucestershire Council. Please check with individual schools for their dates.
  • Term 6 ends on Wednesday 21 July 2027.
